2007 Portland Pair Go Tournament

This is not a Tacoma Go Club event. We just like supporting (and attending) the events of other Go Clubs in the Pacific Northwest.

I'm planning to have our first Pair Go tourney on May 5th, 2007. Sorry, its a short notice, but hope many of you will come join us! Please find your pair and pre-register before 5/3. -- male+female pair would be ideal, but even if you can't find your partner, don't worry, we'll have a drawing at the door. There is a chance to get paired with Cho SeokBin! I'll find my partner by drawing, too. ;)

Place: Reed College, Vollum Lounge
(Map - The pull-down menu labeled "alphabetical index of the campus" highlights Vollum College center in the map when you put the cursor over it in the index. Vollum is almost in the center of the campus, straight north of the main entrance. The closest parking lot is the east lot, off Woodstock boulevard. Directions to campus)

Schedule:

Registration and pairing will begin at 9am
1st round 10am, 2nd round 1pm, and 3rd round 3pm.
45min absolute ("sudden death"), appropriate handicap will apply.

Cost: Free! Cash prizes for the top 3 pairs! AGA membership not required. Children welcome!
Lunch: Please bring your lunch or there will be some places to eat around the college. (The dining hall will be open for lunch.)

Goal: to have FUN, enjoy the dynamics of pair Go, and laugh a lot!
Its going to be a friendly and casual event.
